Ideas for Items to Sell

The following are ideas of items that tend to consign very well at the sales.  These are simply suggestions and meant to increase your personal sales as a consignor. See suggestions for popular brands in the parentheses.

- Infant & children's clothing, especially in sets or outfits. Also, consider coats, jackets, dancewear, costumes, & other appropriate seasonal items. (Gymboree, The Gap, The Children's Place, ect.)

- Juniors & Womens Clothing. (Ann Taylor, J.Crew, The Gap, Limited, Express, Banana Republic)

- Women's accessories, including designer hand bags, shoes, belts, and jewelry. (Vera Bradley, DKNY, Coach)

- Baby gear, like diaper bags, baby carriers, highchairs, swings, baby monitors, pack n' plays, & strollers. CAR SEATS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED.(Graco, Chicco, BabyBjorn, Peg Perego)

- Children's toys, bikes, books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, outdoor items, Barbies, & exersausers. Toys are EXCELLENT sellers! (Baby Einstein, Fisher Price, Lego, LeapFrog, Playskool)

- Maternity clothing & nursing gear, including Boppy's, clean bottles, current maternity wear, & clean breast pumps. (Motherhood & Mimi Maternity, Even Flo, Medela)

- Nursery decor, like changing tables (you must be able to bring in & set up), curtains, mobiles, comforters, rockers/gliders, bumpers, & quilts (Pottery Barn, Amy Coe, Wendy Bellissimo).

Accepted Items 

NOTE: We are no longer accepting car seats, as it is just too difficult to determine whether or not the seat has been in a crash or damaged. Please understand  we have done this for the safety of the children in our community.

We do NOT accept: Men's clothing,  stuffed animals, women's sleepwear or lingerie, stained or damaged items, carseats; For SPRING sale- we do not accept Christmas items, winter coats/boots/snow pants/ski gear or costumes. For FALL sale- we do not accept bathing suites.

All clothing items must be in new or excellent used condition, clean, and only gently worn.

Please be sure that items are somewhat current. Outdated items (older than 5 years) will likely not sell well & may not be accepted.

Clothing must be completely free of stains, tears, broken zippers and pulls.

Toys must be clean & functioning. Battery-operated toys must include batteries so we (& the shoppers) can test them & know they work properly.

Absolutely NO recalled toys, car seats, or other recalled children's items! Please be sure to check the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website to make sure none of your items are on the list.

Underwear, pacifiers, & other such items will only be accepted if NEW in pacakge.

During drop-off, consignors will place their items directly on the sales floor. During the day, our volunteers will comb the racks and pull items found to be stained or damaged in any way. We reserve the right to deny any item that does not meet our standard for quality. If you have any questions about what is acceptable, please do not hesitate to contact us.
