Registration

Do I have to get a new consignor ID & sign up again for every sale? With the exception of the January 2009 sale, if you have consigned before, you do not need to sign up again. You DO need to "register" for the sale, meaning that you let us know in the system by logging in with your consignor ID that you will be consigning. But you don't need to re-enter all your information ever again. The only exception to this is If you consigned in Janaury 2009, you DO need to sign up again using the new automated system, since we were not automated at that sale.

I paid my $10 fee using PayPal, but I still can't log in. Why not? Even though you paid the fee, we have to go into the system and mark you "paid" when we receive notification of the payment. Because of this, you cannot log in immediately. Please allow up to 24 business hours to be able to log-in. If you still cannot log-in after 24 ours, please contact us and let us know.

The Online Item Entry & Tagging System

I'm having trouble logging into the system. What's wrong? First, please be sure to log-in directly from the link on our website each time. If you "bookmark" the page, the link will not work when you come back. The system will also time you out ever 20 minutes; you must go back to the Village Closet home page and click the link to log back in. I have items that I want to put in the current sale from a previous sale. Do I have to re-enter them?  No, you do not need to re-enter any items. If you'd like to include items you tagged in a previous sale, you'll need to find those items in your online inventory and mark them "ACTIVE". Items left "INACTIVE" for 24 months will be deleted from the system.

Printing Tags

My tags are printing off the page, or the words look like jibberish. What's wrong?  This is usually an issue on Macs, using a Safari web browser. The best solution is that tags should be printed using Internet Explorer only.

My tags won't print, or, nothing happens when I click print.  The most common cause for this is that a popup blocker is turned on. A simple way to stop the popup blocker is to hold down the CTRL key when you click on the print button. This will disable the popup blocker for that particular link. You will need to do this each time they click.
